I am fascinated by the glint and patina of old surfaces, and the vigorous colour and architectural structure that was Roman painting. In the studio in Italy, I have developed a system to create large scale fresco painting on light-weight synthetic supports using traditional earth pigments and powdered marbles of the ancients.
